On Monday, February 17, 2025, SPS Technologies experienced a major fire that broke out at our fastener manufacturing operation in Abington Township. Thankfully, our team members working at the time of the fire are safe and well.

New State-of-the-Art Aerospace Facility Design

The new state-of-the-art facility, intended to be operational in 2028, will be approximately 350,000 square feet, including office space.  The complex will be designed not only to meet all applicable building, safety, and environmental codes, but also attain LEED certification – incorporating solar panels and other green features for enhanced resource conservation and ecological sustainability.

SPS to Build State-of-the-Art Aerospace Facility

Informational Meeting
Join us to learn about SPS’s plans to build a state-of-the-art, aerospace fasteners facility on Highland Ave. – retaining local jobs and creating aerospace parts used worldwide.

Now that demolition of the site has been completed, SPS will share plans and renderings of the new facility at a meeting on Thursday, September 25th from 7-9 pm at the Abington Middle School Little Theatre.

Update: Highland Ave. To Intermittently Close beginning Aug. 18th

Highland Avenue will be intermittently closed during the week of August 18th, rather than the originally planned two-week full closure. During this time, the demolition contractor will safely remove the buildings and structures along the street. SPS’s contractor will work to complete the project as efficiently as possible to minimize disruptions.
